 Jimmy Donaldson, born May 7, 1998, more commonly known as the pseudonym MrBeast is an American YouTuber, entrepreneur, and charitable philanthropist. The YouTube personality is known for establishing an YouTube video genre that focuses on extravagant stunts. His main YouTube channel, "MrBeast", is the fifth-most-subscribed on the platform. Donaldson began posting videos to YouTube in early 2012 at 13 years old under the handle "MrBeast6000" and his initial videos ranged from "Let's Plays" to "videos which estimated the wealth of other YouTubers." The channel went viral in the year 2017 following his "counting up to 100,000" video earned hundreds of thousands of views in a matter of days, and he has been getting more and more popular ever since, with the majority of his videos receiving tens of millions of views.Over time the style of his content diversified to include donation and challenge videos that pay millions of dollars, videos with arduous challenges or tasks, and original vlogs. Donaldson recruited his former friends from school to manage the brand as it grew. The MrBeast channel had a subscriber count of 60 by 2022. It had reached 100 million subscribers on July 28, 2022.
